Specific Protocols for Weight Loss, Vitality, and Hormonal Regulation

  • DHEA and Pregnenalone – Precursor nutrients for your body to make its own hormones. Since you went off the bioidentical HRT “cold turkey” your body is going through a form of hormonal withdrawal without any support. Take one pill 3X per day.
  • Psyllium Husk – This fiber will fill you up so you don’t feel hungry while it scrubs and cleanses the intestines. It is best taken when you feel hunger pangs or at night before bed. Take two capsules per dose. I do recommend a dose of Bentonite clay with the Psyllium. I have some if you do not.
  • Yogic Exercise – Exercise with mind-training such as Yoga or Qi Gong will directly balance and stimulate hormone secretions while calming mental agitation and burning fat and calories. This is one of the best “cures for the entire set of symptoms and complaints you are experiencing. On Tuesday and Thursday at the Nugget Building Yoga Studio, starting at 7:00 pm, is our Qi Gong, Tai Qi Class. You’re invited.
  • Pearl Barley, Jobe’s Tears, Yi Yi Ren – Healing Properties: Cooling thermal nature; sweet and salty flavor; strengthens the spleen-pancreas, regulates the stomach, and fortifies the intestines; builds the blood and yin fluids and moistens dryness; promotes diuresis; benefits the gall bladder and nerves; very easily digested – a decoction of barley water (2 ounces pearled or roasted whole barley to a quart of water) is traditionally used for convalescents and invalids; treats diarrhea (pan-roast before cooking); soothes inflamed membranes; alleviates painful and difficult urination; quells fever (use in soup); helps reduce tumors, swellings and watery accumulations such as edema. This type of barley is a medicinal grain. It can satisfy your wish for grains while draining dampness and bloating from your body. It can be cooked like rice for a side dish or mixed with vegetables or done in a mushroom/barley soup. The soup recipe I gave you should be modified. Use Shiitake mushrooms and rice milk instead of button mushrooms and cow milk. Following are a couple of recipes:
